Love is in the air and boyyy I know some of us are scrambling around to find the nicest words and quotes to jot down on your valentines card this year, but what if we could make it a bit more intimate and have that extra bit of personal touch to each and every word? Here are some of the prompts I think would help sow that honest and most sincere wishes for your loved one:

A thank you

A thank you is probably the most cliche thing we say to other human beings, but it is the way we say it that counts. A great deal of people might like flowery and cheesy ideas that follows the thanks -

thank you cause you lit my soul on fire cringe

…or you could just write down the simplest thing that he or she does for you on a regular basis, and extra points for specific details:

thank you for always sending me that good night text before we head to bed every night

A sorry

This might get a bit touchy here, but I personally think there are no relationships that can survive without faults from either party. It could be just the smallest thing like that pair of shoes you forgot to put into the right place, or something a bit more severe that it is unbearable to recall, but a sorry is the first baby step to start solving the problem. An apology shows that you acknowledge what you have done and also helps you recognize what is needed to change in order to maintain a healthy relationship.

A wish

Simple, but oh so effective - it shows you want to have that person in your future and the inclusion of your partner in that wish really says a lot. It could be a bit far fetch like:

I wish we could be together for eternity.

or something mundane and simple as

Babe, I wish you could be my dessert, cause I want to eat you everyday.

Play to your partner’s quirks and interests and the reaction would really surprise you. ;)

A quote

I know…the most cliche of all, but there are countless romantic quotes for y’all out there on the interweb, ranging from quotes for kids to naughty ones and even dad jokes to send to your most precious sapiens; a quick google search and a bit of scrolling will definitely helps, and may be a little twist to give those quotes some inside jokes that connect to both of you in a creative and entertaining way.
