Ferris Wheel Press | Paper Tree Collabs and another Ferritales Goldilock

I know there has always been a downpour of Ferris Wheel Press content on the interweb but man they are getting better at making things on point: gorgeous colors, drool-inducing packaging and timely collaborations - and the October releases proved it is to be the case even more so. In this review I’ll be showing you three ink colors FWP created to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Paper Tree Stationery - Glimmering Greige, Dearest Navy, and Chidori Cherry Blossom - and the latest addition to the Ferritales series - Queen and Castle

Disclaimer: I signed up for their Creative Ambassador, hence these products are sent to me free of charge, and I do not receive further monetary compensation to promote these products from Ferris Wheel Press. The opinions below are my own without interference from FWP.

Queen and Castle

This one continues the story of Alice in Wonderland while also referencing the old English riddle Humpty Dumpty with its lively illustration on the box. It also follows the shiny paper packaging motif of this Ferritales series, which distinguishes itself from the usual Ferris Wheel Press.

Queen and Castle is a light yellow-green ink with rose gold shimmery sparkles. This one is definitely not intended for writing since the contrast between the letters and pages makes it pretty hard to read; yet when it pours on the page, boy does this one shine and pop.

Chidori Cherry Blossom

Nothing else screams “japan reference” better than cherry blossoms, and props to FWP for nailing the box design - the subtly calming blossom drawings on the box embossed with gold and touched up with spontaneous creatures. Even though pink is not my first choice in terms of writing ink, I’d keep this box just for the sake of it being pretty.

Chidori Cherry Blossom is a calming rosy salmon color with rose gold shimmers added to make the pink tone pop even more. In pools and drawing the main appeal of it is certainly the shimmers, as the main tones added that needed “bass” to an already luminous shimmer layer.

Glimmering Greige

Similarly to Chidori Cherry Blossom, this grey also let the shimmer element shine while supplementing it with the needed base layers of darker sheen. It wouldn’t be my choice for writing ink for obvious reasons, but it’s one of the most beautiful ink for marble drawings and textures.

Dearest Navy

Ah yes, something I’d put in my pens for daily writing, and out of the bunch I’d say this navy blue would be the best seller as it’s an everyday color with all of the stationery enthusiasts references - letters, postage stamps, wax seals and a lovely quote on the side “Enjoy Life - Do Not Choose Boring Choices”. I’ll be showing its rich dark shades and red undertones on instagram and I won’t feel sorry for it! #sorrynotsorry

Overall, the October releases from FWP do not disappoint and I definitely look forward to their future releases (hint hint *more shimmers* nudge nudge)
